A few last minute objects.

Even after the house is 10' in the air the homeowner refuses to leave.

The First Move

The house begins it journey.1" cable is used to pull the house by means of a winch mounted to a truck. The cable is ran through a pulley mounted to the front caster supporting the house and back to a bulldozer where it can be hooked and dragged.
Stan keeps a close eye on the house as its inched past the garage.
The house is moved through the field located behind its existing location.

The 19th century relocation of this farm house located in Sandisfield has begun.
The existing foundation is punched out in designated locations to allow for the steel support beams to be slid under the house
Stan Barber, Owner of Larmon House Movers Inc, unloads the 50 Ft. I-Beams from the truck to set under the house.

5,000 lbs Steel beams are rolled into place with ease by the professional crew.
